The cold spray process is a novel technique for making tribological coatings, repair and additive manufacturing. We have been actively making cold spray coating and researching their tribological properties since 2008. Our most active area of research has been metal matrix composites, which have included Al-Al2O3, Ti-TiC, Ni-W and Cu-MoS2 coatings. Publications listed below are contributions that have examined factors affecting the cold sprayability of metals and metal-ceramic mixtures.
